Baseball The Golden Age

baseball the golden age
do you agree with bud selig that this is the golden age of baseball?

when ever bud selig talks he keeps saying this is the golden age of baseball. i can’t help but wonder if its really. under bud selig they canceld the 1994 world series, their was rapid use of steroids, he made the to leagues play against each other in the playoffs which force the all-star game to be irrelibent to such a point that he made the stupid rule that if your league wins the all-star game you have world series homefield. he had a all-star tie, two teams almost got eliminated, he penalize teams for creating value by imposing a revenue sharing agaisnt them. he expanded to cities were mlb teams couldn’t survive look at colorado, florida, tampa bay and the arizona. and under his watch the greatest record in sports might fall to a cheater.

No. This is definitely not the golden age of baseball. As you say in your question so much negative has happened since he’s been around. Though, the team expansion wasn’t bad, there were so many teams already that had small fan base. The golden age of baseball was classic baseball. See: Babe Ruth, etc.
